Nemo safety actuator
Nemo has built a prototype of a fail safe electrohydraulic actuator for Subsea Safety Isolation Valves (SSIVs). The actuator is made up of subsea field proven components and can be designed for valve sizes from 8″ – 30″. It can be made available in both a vertical and horizontal version.
The main features with the Safety Actuator is that it is a self contained system with SIL 2 rating. All connections are electric, hence no hydraulic lines from platform is required. The actuator is fail safe, hence it will quicly close on loss of electrical power. Automatic self test (partial close) is implemented.
