Active pipe support


	Active pipe support Active pipeline supports (APS) are used to support pipelines. They can be pre or post installed. The supports are active on hydraulic pressure during tie-in and are fixed to the final level after connection is performed. Nemo has delivered such supports on the Kristin field (Norsk Hydro, North Sea). APS offers the opportunity to reduce loads from pipeline into hubs and connectors and as a result of this, increases capacity for tie-in points. The APS system provide a cost optimal solution for pipelines by means of reduced structure sizes, reduced demand for spools, reduced demand for rock dumping and optimized installation of pipelines.
